CAD System for Modular M achine Tool
Because the aggregate machine-tool manufacture product market life reduces
unceasingly,the user request aggregate machine-tool design manufacture cycle is
more and more short. The traditional aggregate machine-tool design method is from
bottom to top design process, first carries on the single components design, then the
assembly . Such design method is unable from the integrated function to design the
complete machine structure, creates the new product development cycle to grow,
cannot promptly provide satisfaction in view of user's demand the product. Therefore,
uses the advanced design technology and the method, speeds up supposes counts the
speed, improves the design quality, reduces the development cycle, is enhances the
enterprise competitive power, the change at present the engine bed industry present
situation effective way. The author acts according to the aggregate machine-tool the
design characteristic, unifies advanced supposes counts the technology, carried in
three dimensional design software platform UG two times has opened sends, has
established the aggregate machine-tool CAD system. This system has covered the
entire process which the aggregate machine-tool designs, may enhance the rated
capacity effectively.
1 system function module outline
Above aggregate machine-tool design process is one from the functional design to
the detailed design process, but at present had the aggregate machine-tool CAD
system greatly uses is designs from the components to the assembly design process,
cannot Man Zucong the conceptual design to the detailed design request. We
according to the engine bed design method and the step, in can carry on the analysis
to the system merit in the foundation, has divided the system function module, has
established based on the modular design theory aggregate machine-tool CAD system.

Kit. Including UG/oPEN GRIP (graph interactive procedure), UG/OPEN API
(application program interface) UG/oPEN UIstyler (user interface design connection),

kit, translates the environment take Visual C++6.0. This system divides into 3 parts: 1)
master control library of subroutines, including application procedures and so on
friendly database data management; 2) the three-dimensional model template
storehouse, the package includes the aggregate machine-tool all levels of module
correspondence the three dimensional assembly model base; 3) number according to
storehouse, including standard part data and so on parameter data, design calculation
