Unit 1 Overview of Cross-Border E-Commerce
Unit Objectives:
• Learn the concept of cross-border e-commerce.
• Learn to tell the differences between traditional foreign trade and cross-border e-
commerce.
• Learn about the current situation of cross-border e-commerce in China.

• the concept of cross-border e-commerce and its related words and expressions
• the differences between traditional foreign trade and cross-border e-commerce
• the speaking and reading exercises

• the differences between traditional foreign trade and cross-border e-commerce, and
how to tell them in English

• TBLT method (TBLT: Task-based Language Teaching)

1) Get to know some abbreviations related with the concept of CBEC.
2) Write down the Chinese names of some platforms, and give a short introduction to
each of them.
3) Learn some words and expressions related with the current situation of CBEC in
China.

Practice and finish the exercises in the speaking section of each part.
