1. Before using any programs in this pack, please make sure all necessary video decoders/decompressors have been correctly installed and configured!
2. Extract all .M files before running them in MATLAB.

USER GUIDE

1. Access any desired pixel in any desired frame
Program: EBU706U_PA1.m
Syntax: pix = EBU706U_PA1(filename, frameindex, pixelx, pixely)
FILENAME is a string that corresponding to the name of video file to open. If the file is not inside current directory, please include it's full path.
FRAMEINDEX is a integer specifies the position of desired frame.
PIXELX, PIXELY are two integers that stands for the position of a desired pixel in that frame.
PIX is a 1-by-1-by-3 matrix that holds the R, G and B values of that pixel respectively.
Output: The image of desired frame.
2. Perform pixel-by-pixel frame differencing with respect to the first frame
Program: EBU706U_PA2.m
Syntax: EBU706U_PA2(filename)
FILENAME is a string that corresponding to the name of video file to open. If the file is not inside current directory, please include it's full path.
Output: 3 groups of images. Each group cantains 3 iamges: the reference frame (upper-left), the original frame (lower-left) and the differencing result (lower-right).
3. Apply classification thresholds
Program: EBU706U_PA3.m
Syntax: EBU706U_PA3(filename, thresh)
FILENAME is a string that corresponding to the name of video file to open. If the file is not inside current directory, please include it's full path.
THRESH is a float number, range [0, 1], and represents the threshold value for binary image conversion.
Output: 1). 1 group of images which cantains 3 iamges: 3 different differenced frames after binary conversion.
2). 3 different differenced frames after binary conversion in JPEG format.
4. Perform pixel-by-pixel frame differencing with respect to pervious frame
Program: EBU706U_PA4.m
Syntax: EBU706U_PA4(filename)
FILENAME is a string that corresponding to the name of video file to open. If the file is not inside current directory, please include it's full path.
Output: 1). A 3*3 image grid. Each coloum repersents a original frame, result image after differencing and the binary version.
2). 3 different differenced frames and their results after binary conversion in JPEG format.
5. Combine the thresholded results of the pixel-by-pixel frame differencing
Program: EBU706U_PA5.m
Syntax: EBU706U_PA5(filename)
FILENAME is a string that corresponding to the name of video file to open. If the file is not inside current directory, please include it's full path.
Output: 1). 1 group of images which cantains 3 iamges: 3 different differenced frames after binary conversion and combination.
2). 3 different differenced frames after binary conversion and combination in JPEG format.
