Summary of Topics
This revision to ANSI/UL 8750 dated January 5, 2021 was issued to incorporate the following
changes:
– Scope expansion to include LED packages with spectral power distribution characteristics
outside of the visible light spectrum (400 - 700 nm), revisions to Supplement SD to include
Special-Use LED packages and revisions to Supplement SJ to include direct references to in
IEC 62471; 1.1.0, Section SD2A, Section SD2B, Section SD8A, SD9.2 – SD9.6, Figure SD9.1,
SJ1.1, SJ1.4, SJ2.1, SJ5.1, SJ6.1, SJ6.2
– LED controllers; 1.1.1, 1.1.2, 3.12, 3.13.1, 6.1.6, 8.1.6
– Leakage current test; 8.9.1, 8.9.2, 8.9.4, 8.9.4.1, Figure 8.5, 9.3.7, Appendix B
