The Windows Media Player HTML5 Extension for Chrome uses Windows Media
Player Firefox Plugin code from the April 2007 release.
The following notes applies to the Chrome extension as well.

POST INSTALLATION NOTES

1. WMP uses the IE browser proxy settings
--------------------------------------------------
If you have specific proxy settings in your browser, you will need to map
these same settings through the IE proxy settings. This plugin will not
read any proxy settings cached in the Firefox browser.
You can change the Proxy settings in IE through Tools, Internet Options,
Connections, LAN settings.
2. Target attribute in <A HREF> tag will play media in new tab
--------------------------------------------------
Windows Media Player content that is linked to with an <A HREF> tag with a
target attribute, will be played in a new tab within the browser.
3. VT_DATE Variant returns a string instead of a Date object

4. The Status bar is always displayed regardless of the ShowStatusBar value
