Flowmeter IFC110 equipped with RS485 board, can communicate with an external device (e.g. a PC) via RS485 interface. RS485 interface allows data exchange between multiple devices on one multidrop network. When a PC is connected, either interface conversion to RS232 is necessary ( PC-Adapter ), or an internal RS485 interface card can be used. Bus configuration is assumed to be consisting of external device as a master (e.g. a PC) and one or more devices as slave(s). For bus-operation the device address together with baudrate must be set either via device keypad or via HART (by using CONFIG PC program or the HART Hand Held Communicator) or IMoCom bus (by using CONFIG PC program). Bus devices, that are connected to one busline simultaneously, must have different addresses. The transmission uses 8 data bits, even parity, and 1 stop bit at a baud rate of 1200, 2400, 4800, 9600 or 19200 bps.
