visionapp Remote Desktop (vRD) is a tool which allows the management

for quick access.

and window size in connection objects
Organize connection objects in different folders and subfolders

connection object
Use the overview window to find open user sessions
Take advantage of the option to open a separate window for a new
user session

Different sort options for the connection object hierarchy are available
Assign a user-defined credential object to folders and subfolders
Inherit credentials from parent folder or assign a user-defined
credential object to a connection object
Export and import folders including all connection object settings via
XML files
Export and import credential objects using a password-protected and
encrypted file (256-bit AES encrypted) -- for security reasons, the
encrypted file can only be imported if the user ID is the same as it was
when the credentials were exported
User Interface language can be switched either to English or to German
during program run-time
Using visionapp Remote Desktop
------------------------------
Start visionapp Remote Desktop from its home directory or from
"Start | All Programs | visionapp Remote Desktop".
Create a new connection object by selecting "New Connection" in the
context menu of the Connection item in the treeview. Assign all required
values to the new connection object, including a name and the server
name (or its IP address). The name of the new connection object will
be displayed in the treeview after the OK button of the New Connection
Properties window was clicked.
A double-click on a connection object in the treeview will open the
remote desktop of the assigned Terminal Server in a tab page. Multiple
open connections will be displayed in associated tab pages. Change from
one open Terminal Server desktop to an other by selecting the label of
the appropriate tab page including the connection name.
In the treeview you may also create groups and sub-groups including
connection objects. You can move and re-order groups, sub-groups
and connection objects in the treeview by using drag & drop. The
hierarchy of groups, sub-groups and connection objects including all
their settings can be exported into an XML file. This XML file can
be imported later in time or on an other instance of visionapp Remote
Desktop.
visionapp Remote Desktop provides a powerful feature to manage
user credentials. You can create credential objects by selecting "New
Credentials" in the context menu of the Credentials item in the treeview.
A credential object includes user login name, password and domain.
You can assign a credential object to a connection object or to
a group, allowing you a convenient automated login to Terminal Servers.
By default, a connection object inherits the credentials from its
parent folder.
NOTE: All user credentials stored with visionapp Remote Desktop are
encrypted.
Complete usage instructions are available in the on-line help file.
