A novel asymmetric three-level inverter is proposed,in which the
space vector pulse width modulation (SVPWM) strategy is adopted as its
modulation method. The preceding-stage of the inverter provides four-
channel levels through the dualBuck converter for the rear stage. The rear-
stage inverter circuit includes four three-phase bridge arms, and works at
the asymmetric three-level state with various switching combinations. The
asymmetric three-level circuit structure reduces the voltage stress of the
switching tube while exerting large circuit, and switching loss of the rear-
stage inverter circuit. The working principle and modulation method of the
circuit are analyzed. The modeling simulation is performed with
Matlab/Simulink.The circuit is effective, and its modulation strategy is
feasible, which are verified with simulation results.%
