3. Additional Notes
3.1. FYI's/Known Issues
- Before you uninstall EZ-SCSI 6.0, you must close all
instances of SCSI Explorer; this includes the application
itself and the tray icon. If any instance of SCSI
Explorer remains open, the uninstall will fail and the
system will display a "Locked File Detected" error.
Please refer to SCSI Explorer online help for more
details.
- The "apply" button in the SCSISelect screen in SCSI
Explorer is grayed out. Modifications made in this
section cannot be applied or saved. There are plans to
support this feature in future versions of EZ-SCSI 6.
- Running the SCSI Tutor under Windows NT 4.0 may cause
scripting errors. This will occur if the default VGA
adapter driver is being used at 640x480x16. To resolve
this, update the video driver with one supplied by the
video card manufacturer.
- EZ-SCSI 6.0 does not support HostRAID controllers, and
may report them as "older/embedded" or "unsupported or
not fully supported".
3.2. Third-Party Compatibility Issues
- When running SCSI Explorer, an attached iomega Jaz drive
may take up to five minutes to report a defect list, or
may also cause system instabilities.
3.3. Operating System Limitations
- In order to view the EZ-SCSI 6.0 Help Section under NT
4.0, you must have the Microsoft HTML Help plug in
installed. Without this plug-in your Windows-based help
will not function. To install the plug-in, contact
Microsoft or visit their support site.
