Draft Specification for
PoweRline Intelligent Metering Evolution
Prepared by the PRIME Alliance Technical Working Group
This document is an approved draft specification. As such, it is subject to change. Prior to the full
or partial adoption of this document by any standards development organization, permission must
be obtained from the PRIME Alliance.
Abstract:
This is a complete draft specification for a new OFDM-based power line communications for the provision
of all kinds of Smart Grid services over electricity distribution networks. Both PHY and MAC layers according
to IEEE conventions, plus a Convergence layer, are described in the Specification.
