1 Overview
The purpose of this document is to describe the installation steps of the CSMC
0.5um FEOL 0.35um BEOL Double Poly Mixed Signal Process Design Kit (PDK)
provided by CSMC Technologies Corporation.
2 Installation
2.1 Download
Customer download the PDK file named “0.5um FEOL 0.35um BEOL M5324
DPQM Process Design Kit -FAB2” from website of CSMC
2.2 Uncompress
The download PDK is distributed in compressed zip format. To install the PDK,
logon to the computer as the user who will own and maintain the PDK.
Choose a disk and directory under which the PDK will be installed. Change
directory to the location where the PDK will be installed:
cd <pdk_install_parent_directory>
Extract the PDK from the archive using the following coMix Signalands:
unzip…/ 0.5um FEOL 0.35um BEOL M5324 DPQM Process Design Kit -FAB2.zip
This will produce a single directory with a name same to following format:
0.5um FEOL 0.35um BEOL M5324 DPQM Process Design Kit -FAB2
Entre the directory, there are three files included:
PDK_Install.pl m5324_install_introduction.pdf m5324_v1.tar.gz

2.3 Work Directory Building
Build a work directory which will store the generated PDK. The following
example “work_A2_8K” is a reference:
The name work_A2_8K means top metal is metal2 and model is m5324.
It is recoMix Signalended the four files are in one directory. Under the directory
which contains those four files, input coMix Signaland “./PDK_Install.pl “ to start
auto install.
2.4 Metal Choice
Choose your specified metal process with the number code from 1 to 9
CSMC provide six top metal process choices. List as: A2_8K, A2_12K, A3_8K,
A3_12K,A4_8K,A4_12K, T2,T3,T4
