The Meshing product provides the necessary tools to clean up and correct imported CAD
geometry, and to create automatic and associative 1D, 2D and 3D meshes on complex
geometries.

Geometry Clean Up
Provides users reconciliation and fixing tools to heal parts to be used in meshing. This product
helps users checking validity of imported non-V5 geometry data (surfaces or solids) with regard
to V5 modeling criteria, then correcting or improving the topology and the geometry of the
analysed objects. This product is also very useful for data migration, i.e. for companies who
need to migrate data from their previous CAD (including CATIA V4) to their new CATIA V5
environment.

Advanced Meshing Tools
Provides a set of advanced meshing methods fro 1D, 2D and 3D meshing.
Wireframe (1D) & Surface (2D) Meshing
Provides a basic and advanced mesher for automatic and associative generation of a finite
element model on surface parts and wireframe geometries. Based on a powerful topological
engine, it provides advanced control for the generation of the finite element, saving significant
time for the user.
Solid (3D) Meshing
Provides a basic and advanced solid mesher, tetrahedron filler, a sweep mesher and a hybrid
(hexa dominant) minimal mesher for automatic and associative generation of a finite element
model on solid parts. Analysis specialists will find a complete mesh tool box for complex and
advanced solid meshing, while keeping all the benefits of the CAD-integrated solution.

(3D) Mixed Solid Meshing
Mixed Solid Mesher is especially indicated for complex solid component or assembly in the
context of dynamic analyses. It generates HEXA dominant 3D mesh depending on the geometry
complexity, wedges & tetra elements can also be generated.
