% of college students with sleep disorders. Gender, age, academic year, major (science or liberal arts), rural or urban background, parents' education level, and family income do not show significant correlations with sleep quality. However, the primary factors influencing sleep quality for on-campus college students are found to be "academic pressure," "irregular sleep schedule," and "empty or meaningless life." Additionally, interpersonal relationships, such as "distant relationships with classmates" and "breakups in romantic relationships," also contribute to sleep disturbances. Lastly, communication barriers with parents and parental conflicts, although distant from the on-campus environment, can also affect sleep. The study highlights that students are part of society, and various aspects of society impact them. Focusing on the three most influential factors, it proposes targeted suggestions to improve sleep quality by addressing these issues. Reducing academic pressure could involve promoting balanced study habits, time management, and stress-relief activities. Establishing regular sleep routines can be encouraged through education on the importance of a consistent bedtime and avoiding stimulating activities before sleep. To alleviate feelings of emptiness, universities can promote extracurricular activities, social engagement, and mental health support services. In the context of computer and internet use, technology can both positively and negatively affect sleep quality. On one hand, it can provide resources for stress management and educational tools to enhance learning efficiency. On the other hand, excessive screen time, especially before bedtime, can disrupt sleep patterns due to blue light exposure and cognitive stimulation. Therefore, promoting responsible digital habits and providing access to apps or devices that filter blue light can contribute to better sleep. Furthermore, universities can play a crucial role in fostering a supportive environment that addresses these factors. They can organize workshops on stress management, relationship building, and communication skills. Campus counseling services should be easily accessible to help students cope with emotional challenges. Parental involvement can also be encouraged through workshops or online resources to enhance understanding and communication between parents and students. In conclusion, improving college students' sleep quality requires a multifaceted approach that acknowledges the influence of societal factors. By addressing academic pressures, promoting healthy sleep habits, enriching students' lives with meaningful activities, and fostering supportive relationships, universities can significantly contribute to enhancing overall well-being and academic performance among their students. It is essential for educators, administrators, and parents to collaborate in creating an environment that prioritizes sleep health as an integral part of student success.
