LICENSE AGREEMENT FOR PC1D VERSION 5
The enclosed computer diskette has been delivered to you
(hereinafter LICENSEE) in direct response to your submission of a
speci%c request to receive a copy of this program. The University of
New South Wales (hereinafter UNSW) grants to LICENSEE the right to
use this program consistent with the following Agreement. If these
terms are not acceptable to LICENSEE, you must immediately return
all copies of the software and documentation to the Photovoltaics
Special Research Centre, University of New South Wales, Sydney, NSW
2052, Australia. This Agreement shall remain in force as long as
LICENSEE retains possession of these materials.
1. UNSW grants to LICENSEE a fully-paid, non-exclusive, non-
transferable license to use, for research, development, and
demonstration purposes only, the PC1D Version 5 semiconductor
simulation software code and associated documentation %les
(hereinafter PC1D).
2. LICENSEE acknowledges that PC1D is a research tool; that it is
being supplied AS-IS, without any accompanying services or
improvements from UNSW.
3. Neither UNSW, the Photovoltaics Special Research Centre, nor any
of their employees, makes any warranty, express or implied, or
assumes any legal liability or responsibility for the accuracy,
completeness, or usefulness of PC1D, or represents that its use would
not infringe privately owned rights, on account of or arising from this
Agreement or the use of PC1D.
4. LICENSEE may make authorized copies of PC1D or place it on a
local-area network, provided LICENSEE maintains records of the
number and location of these authorized copies. LICENSEE must
ensure that all PC1D noti%cations and updated software delivered to
LICENSEE from UNSW is distributed to all persons using these
authorized copies of PC1D.
5. Title to PC1D and to any material associated therewith shall at all
times remain with UNSW, and LICENSEE agrees to preserve same.
LICENSEE further agrees not to use any portion of PC1D in any
machine-readable form outside the PC1D program.
6. Nothing in this Agreement shall be construed as conferring rights to
use in advertising, publicity, or otherwise, any trademark or the name
of "UNSW".
7. This Agreement shall be construed, interpreted, and applied in
accordance with the law of the state of New South Wales. Any legal
