You must use the pkunzip -d option to restore this directory tree or you will have problems because the files will not be in their proper subdirectories. This is the subdirectory layout: .\ Info directory .\apps Applications written using this component .\demos Sample applications .\dll MSICS.DLL library for using MSI data from any app .\help HTML Help file .\D5 compiled units containing components and packages for installing for Delphi 5 (not in registered version) .\D6 compiled units containing components and packages for installing for Delphi 6 (not in registered version) .\D7 compiled units containing components and packages for installing for Delphi 7 (not in registered version) .\BDS3 compiled units containing components and packages for installing for Delphi 2005 (not in registered version) .\BDS4 compiled units containing components and packages for installing for Delphi 2006 (not in registered version) .\Sources source files (only in registered version) Installation: ------------- Remove all old versions of MSICS before intallation of the new one! DELPHI 5/6/7/2005(BDS3)/2006(BDS4): Using Delphi, do a file/open and choose MiTeC_Common_D5.dpk/MiTeC_Common_D6.dpk/MiTeC_Common_D7.dpk/MiTeC_Common_BDS3.dpk/MiTeC_Common_BDS4.dpk (Delphi 2005/2006 may ask you for platform, select Win32) which is a runtime package containing common used routines. Click compile button. Then open MSICS_D5_Rtl.dpk/MSICS_D6_Rtl.dpk/MSICS_D7_Rtl.dpk/MSICS_BDS3_Rtl.dpk/MSICS_BDS4_Rtl.dpk (runtime source for all components) and then click on the Compile button. Then open design time package MSICS_D5_Dsgn.dpk/MSICS_D6_Dsgn.dpk/MSICS_D7_Dsgn.dpk/MSICS_BDS3_Dsgn.dpk/MSICS_BDS4_Dsgn.dpk and then click on the Install button. You should see the "MSIC Suite" tab on the component palette. !!! Be sure to uncheck 'Stop On Delphi Exception' option in Debugger Options|Language Exceptions.
