INTRODUCTION TO CLIENT SETUP DOCUMENT
It is strongly recommended that user should install clients on their local machine and use
Amazon Cloud strictly as server. This way, the processing power is equally divided between
physical machine and cloud environment. This option gives better performance.
This document details the steps for installing the Teamcenter and other Siemens PLM clients on
the host machine for supporting cloud demo environment. The client installs are generic and
apply to all the Industries. For Industry specific installation instructions, please refer to respective
demo scripts.
OBTAINING SOFTWARE
You will need installation software for following products.
NX 10
Teamcenter Unified ver 10.1
Teamcenter Visualization ver 10.1
Patches for latest release of Teamcenter, Tc Vis and NX or patches that match to the
Teamcenter server on cloud.
You can download these software’s from GTAC

INSTALLING SPLM SOFTWARE
Install NX
Do a typical NX install. This will be sufficient.
Install it to “C:\apps\PLM\NX10” or any other directory with no space or special character in the
path.
Install Teamcenter Visualization.
If you have any old installation of embedded visualization or Teamcenter visualization, please
uninstall it. It will cause issues with new visualization install.
Start TcVis Installation by clicking on Setup.exe
If there are any pre-requisites, setup will prompt to install these. Click on Install to have these
installed. Installation will start after that.
