# SMA-UMAT
In this folder, there are two UMATs available for you to simulate the constituive behaviours of SMAs using finite element software Abaqus.
1. Finite_Strain_SMA_UMAT.for, this file is the UMAT to simulate SMAs undergoing large deformations. See reference paper for the detail.

2. SMA-TRIP.for, this file is the UMAT that simulates the constitutive behaviour of SMAs considering the transformation-induced plasticity(TRIP) and the two-way shape memory effect(TWSME), see the following paper as reference.

A simple tutorial with Abaqus input files are provided. The tutorial is for the UMAT without TRIP. However you can still follow this simple tutorial to get the SMA-TRIP response by 1) filling in the additional material properties for TRIP UMAT 2) Specifying the TRIP UMAT as the running subroutine in Abaqus. 本文提出了一种考虑相变诱发塑性(TRIP)和双向形状记忆效应(TWSME)的形状记忆合金三维本构模型。提出的基于对数应变的模型能够捕捉SMA在一般热力循环下表现出的大应变和旋转。通过使用马氏体体积分数、相变应变、内应力和TRIP应变张量作为内部状态变量,该模型能够捕捉SMA在多轴应力状态下与应力相关的TRIP生成,以及无负载条件下热机械训练SMA的TWSME。通过用户定义的材料子程序,在有限元框架内给出了该模型的详细实现过程,以解决不同的边值问题(BVP)。还提供了关于校准模型参数以及推导连续切线刚度矩阵的全面说明。最后,将该模型模拟的各种SMA材料系统在单轴和多轴应力状态下的循环伪弹性和驱动响应与实验结果进行了比较,以验证所提出的建模能力。 关键词:形状记忆合金、大变形、本构模型、相变诱发塑性、双向形状记忆效应
