General Description
The Outbound Solution from Genesys provides the business with the means to contact its existing
Customers using either a pre-defined list of calling numbers or a filtered list, to specifically-
targeted audiences. It comprises a User Interface, with which to load, filter, run and monitor an
Outbound Campaign and coupled with CCPulse, it also provides an output screen showing the
relative success (or hit ratio) of the dialled numbers.
Purpose
Allows access to control the configuration, appliance, campaign and list management of the
components of the Genesys Outbound Solution.
Business Uses
Outbound Campaigns are frequently used as a means to contact a selective customer base of
existing and/or potential customers. This is usually a pre-determined list of CTN’s, extracted from
various systems and imported into the required Format for an Outbound Calling List. Examples of
these would be; Promotions, Debtors, Upgrades, New Products and Services.
Point to Note: Business Uses for Outbound Diallers are subject to local laws regarding cold calling
and/or telesales technical implementations, particularly with regard to power- or over-dialling
techniques. Check with your local government agency for telecommunications for restrictions and
laws regarding restrictions for the use of this Solution.
Technical Point to Note
Whilst Outbound Campaigns/Lists can be administered/reviewed/updated by Users with access to
OCM, the business preference is that the statistical details for real-time and historical reporting
are provided by the Reporting components of Genesys; CCPulse+ and CCA/Brio.
Associated with the Outbound Solution are a series of pre-formatted Table designs, Field
Parameters and various Database Access Points (DAP) will be required. The details of these are
found both within the OCM application and configurable via the CME Application.
