1.0 SCOPE
1.1 PURPOSE
This Part Drawing defines the requirements for an Input/Output Expander for I
2
C-Bus.
1.2 PART TYPE
The integrated circuit defined by this Part Drawing is based upon a commercial device type
PCA9535.
Due to additional requirements, generic versions shall not be substituted for parts supplied to Delphi per this
Part Drawing.
1.3 PART NUMBER for chart drawings
Not Applicable for parts that are not in chart drawings.
2.0 APPLICABLE DOCUMENTS

3.0 OPERATING CONDITIONS
3.1 MAXIMUM RATINGS
This part may not operate if taken outside the maximum ratings. Once the condition is returned to within the
specified maximum rating or the power is recycled, the part will recover with no damage or degradation.

3.2 ABSOLUTE MAXIMUM RATINGS
This part may be irreparably damaged if taken outside the specified Absolute Maximum Ratings. Operation
above the Absolute Maximum Ratings may also cause a decrease in reliability.

3.3 OPERATING AND STORAGE TEMPERATURES
The PCA9535, 24 TSSOP (-40˚C to 85˚C) shall be capable of operating in an ambient temperature range as
noted below:
Minimum Ambient Temperature -40°C
Maximum Ambient Temperature 85°C
Minimum Storage Temperature -65°C
Maximum Storage Temperature 150°C
