In this paper, w ith RS and GiS as the techno lo gy support, Delphi method w as used to determine inf luential fact ors abo ut ecolog ical suit abi lity in ur ban construction land, such as natural, social, eco no mic and ecological safety fact ors etc. A nd the ana lyt ic hierarchy process (AHP)was used to calculate the w eig hts of the relal e inf luenlial fadors. Keeping the pr iority of the ecolog ical conservation prineiple, a set of sy stem and evaluation model for evaluation on ecolog ical app licability of ur ban constructio n land were estab- lished. U sing this model sy stem and met ho ds to define the eco log ical co nt rol area can pro vide important o p in ions abo ut ratio nal arr ang ent of urban land use.
