1 General Description
1.1 Functional Description
SWB-A23 is the combination module that integrates Wireless LAN (WLAN) and Bluetooth (BT). This
embedded module is optimized for WLAN/Bluetooth enabled handheld mobile devices.
1.2 Features
WLAN - IEEE Std 802.11b/g Standard Compliant
Bluetooth – Bluetooth Specification Version 2.1 + EDR
Includes all the base-band and radio functionality, from host interface up to antenna, needs only
external antenna
Embedded reference clock for Bluetooth
Small dimensions (10 x 10 x 1.3 mm) with an LGA - 60pin peripheral footprint
Low Power Consumption
Cellular Coexistence Supported
WLAN and Bluetooth Coexistence Supported
Host Interface: SDIO for WLAN; UART, PCM for Bluetooth
RoHS Compliant
MSL 3

Blocking filter for suppression of CDMA, GSM, PCS and WCDMA interfering signals
Transmitter output power in 802.11b mode: +17 dBm
Transmitter output power in 802.11g mode at 6~24Mbps: +17 dBm
BT output power : 8.0 dBm (CLASS 1), 0 dBm (CLASS 2)
BT Receiver sensitivity : -84dBm (GFSK), -85dBm (π/4 QPSK), -78dBm (8DPSK)
