Description of MTK
MTK is designed to migrate data and the query and procedure language
from the source database management systems to the target systems.
MTK can be run from a variety of hardware platforms. Here are the
supported source and target combinations:

Database for Linux, UNIX, and Windows.
What is new for MTK 2.0.4.0
Release 2.0.4.0 includes the following new and changed features:
* Added support for the target DB2 Version 9.5 for Linux, UNIX, and
Windows and its compatibility features:
* CONNECT BY syntax.
* The Oracle NUMBER data type is directly mapped to the DB2 database
product NUMBER data type.
* The Oracle TO_DATE() and TO_CHAR() functions are mapped directly
to the DB2 database product built-in functions.
* NVL, DECODE, and BITAND are directly mapped to the DB2 database
product built-in functions.
* A simpler syntax is generated when ROWNUM is specified in the
WHERE clause.
* The LEAST and GREATEST built-in functions are supported.
* DUAL is mapped directly to the DB2 database product DUAL.
* The Oracle (+) outer and cross join syntax is directly mapped to
the DB2 database product.
* Sequences CURRVAL and NEXTVAL keywords are mapped directly to DB2
database product.
* MINUS and UNIQUE keywords are directly mapped to the DB2 database
product.
* The ROWID data type is mapped to VARCHAR(16) FOR BIT and the
RID_BIT() function is added to support the ROWID operations.
* Correlation names for subqueries are allowed.
* All long identifiers are supported.
* Optional data type mapping to the DB2 database product DECFLOAT.
* Support for context files and multiple file conversions is added to
the MTK command line interface.
* The MTK GUI and command line interface provide more flexibility to
include your own DATA, INDEX, and LONG DATA table spaces.
* Added support for new Microsoft SQL Server 2005 syntaxes.
* The Oracle PLS_INTEGER is mapped to the INTEGER data type in
conversions to the DB2 database product and Informix Dynamic Server.
Product fix history
The following defects are fixed in this version:
* When a sequence is used inside a trigger it is not translated
correctly.
* Sybase ASE syntax error in the CREATE TABLE statement for the DEFAULT
USER.
* The Java(TM) warning: Could not create system preferences directory.
System preferences are unusable. Added new entry to the frequently
asked questions (FAQ) document to resolve this.
* Unknown referenced errors are encountered when using the CREATE
SYNONYM syntax on a table.
* ROWNUM in the WHERE clause creates a unnecessary loop.
* Sybase ASE to the DB2 database product: NULL pointer exception on
UPDATE statement.
* The Informix Dynamic Server returns incorrect results for a select
query with the datetime arithmetic.
* MTK conversions from MySQL source do not support insert decimal
values wrapped with quotes.
* MySQL 5.0 CREATE TABLE syntax error for the CHARSET attribute.
* Wrong casting CAST (v_date AS TIMESTAMP) for Informix Dynamic Server
to target DB2 database product.
* In conversions from Microsoft SQL Server, the BIT data type is
incorrectly mapped to DB2 Version 9 for Linux, UNIX, and Windows.
* Mism
