The symposium featured two keynote speakers from universities abroad. The lecture by Dr. Adamu, on"Terrestrial to underground wireless sensor networks: Design fac- tors and transmission cost created a great inquisitiveness among the participants to explore the issues arising in wireless networks. Dr Elizabeth Chang, University of New South Wales and Australian Defence Force Academy, Canberra, Australia delivered a lecture on the experimental analysis in the context of"Cyber Situational Awareness for CPS, 5G and IoT"which created an impact on creating security frameworks based on ontology Over the past decades, the emergence of the advanced wireless technologies has attracted many researchers and academicians to explore in the fields of next- generation networks and Internet of things. Recent advances in computing have created a new dimension of research in the field of sensor networks in connecting the physical world to the digital world. The sessions focussed on resolving the challenges in the existing communication protocols connecting the different embedded devices in different scenarios, which deserves our special attention In response to the call for papers, 75 manuscripts are received, out of which 26 papers are accepted. We intended for maintaining the high standards of the con- ference.
