MPEG2Cut is a fast (in terms of usage; buffering is not good) and easy MPEG2 Cutter made by
Symbiose based on Jakei's DVD2AVI.
For personal needs I added sound output by using John Edward's WAVE OUT code for the first
mpa track muliplexed in the stream. You need to get MPAlib.dll from my site to get it work.
Furthermore you probably need about 800MHz in YUV2 mode for playback.
Unfortunately Symbiose took some older DVD2AVI version and modified it, resultig in some
display bugs and slow IDCT routines. So I updated it to DVD2AVI 1.76 code.
History:
=-1.15-=
- added experimental VOB support (was possible in previous version also)
- added experimental MPEG2 VIDEO only cutting support
- added ac3 playback
- added track selectioning while playback
- cutting: made i/o buffer bigger to hopefully speed up things
- now '0' and 'insert' will also start/stop playback mode
(so I can switch between ff/fb and play without moving my hand too much...)
- some tidbits here and there
- finally released source and taking some rest now...
=-1.14-=
MPEG2Cut is now based on DVD2AVI 1.76 (THAT was quite some work), which is much faster/using
less CPU while playback (due to optimized iDCT) and should be less buggy...
I made cursor left and right to fast forward and backwar and remapped old forward/backward
to cursor up/down
You can now stop play/preview by hitting F5/F8 again.
=-1.13-=
Added a minimal MP2 parsing to correctly initialize WAVE OUT
Deleted 2 obsolete INI options
=-1.12-=
Did a primitive syncing of video to fps (dunno about NTSC, but works OK with PAL).
For real sync I need to thread things, but I don't want to make this a full-featured player.
Fixed YUV2 output (was b&w before).
Cleaned up code a bit by throwing some AVI stuff out and made MMX IDCT one and only.
=-1.11 [internal]-=
Fixed some sound deinit bugs and deactivated sound on seeking, etc.
Made a play mode [F5] which starts from cursor and remapped old preview mode to [F8].
=-1.10 [internal]-=
I added sound output
=-1.01-=
Symbiose' original release
License: GPL, except parts of my code which can be somehow found in HeadAC3he: As it is my code,
I (and only I) can use it in a close-source program, as well, as it was originally from there...
Another exception is John Edward's code: It has a BSD like license.
