bin2ptp(1) User Commands bin2ptp(1)
NAME
bin2ptp - Convert raw binary to PTP format file
SYNOPSIS
bin2ptp addr [binfile] >ptpfile
DESCRIPTION
'Bin2ptp'converts a raw binary file into a Motorola S record
file. Bin2ptp takes at least one argument, the starting
address of the data. This argument is always interpreted as
a hexadecimal number. If another argument is given, it is
the name of the input binary file. If that argument is
omitted, then bin2ptp reads stdin instead of the file. The
data length of the output is determined by the data length
of the input. Only one starting address can be specified.
More than one contiguous block of data cannot be
represented. Returns an exit status of one if it cannot
open the file, otherwise returns an exit status of zero.
