Endnote on Linux
This document discusses how to install and start EndNote reference management software from
Thompson ResearchSoft on Linux.
Note: this document assumes two things: some familiarity with Linux, and administrator privileges.
0.0 System Details
You need a relatively modern Linux distribution (the Author used Ubuntu 6.06) with an X11 or
Xorg-based graphical interface. Performance issues might be encountered on machines with little
memory.
0.1 What is EndNote?
EndNote is a reference management system that allows you to collect and organize bibliographic
data from a variety of sources (bibliographic databases), ensuring accurate bibliographic details.
The system also helps you create formatted bibliographies (including styles from major style
manuals, and the styles used by many academic journals).
